How to size the Plot area in a Scatter MSChart

I have a scatter mschart control. the problem is that the Plot Area is smaller than the Chart Area with a huge difference. When resizing it, the chart area gets bigger, but the Plot Area is still smaller with a too large difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
