I'm attempting to make myself a login screen for an application, I have all the login functions in and it all works, however when it comes to design it, I am stuck at trying to make the background look nice, I have created an image to use as the background and applied it to the form's BackgroundImage property, however when I do so, it does this:

The image is meant to have a brush effect round the edge, however because I cannot set the formcolor to true transparency, it ends up like a black box without the transparency, si there a way round this?
I'd like to make aware that I'm very new to VB.Net and most languages, so if I get confused, pardon me.
