Displaying a specific Window

Hi everyone. I have an application where a user clicks a command button and it should open a particular folder eg. c:\MyFolder, in a maximised Window. In Win 7 the folders are minimised on the status bar down the bottom. Anyone able to help so that my folder will appear as the most recently opened folder?
